God Bless Israel

GodBlessIsrael.com was created as an outlet for believers in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior to stand in solidarity with God’s chosen people of Israel.  Throughout history God’s chosen people have suffered severe persecution and hostility but He has never turned His back on them or forgotten His covenant.  One of the clearest examples of God’s love for His chosen people is the rebirth of Israel as an independent nation in 1948.

Isaiah 66:8-9 tells us,

“‘Who has ever seen or heard of anything as strange as this? Has a nation ever been born in a single day? Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment? But by the time Jerusalem’s birth pains begin, the baby will be born; the nation will come forth. Would I ever bring this nation to the point of birth and then not deliver it?’ asks the Lord. ‘No! I would never keep this nation from being born,’ says your God.”

The rebirth of Israel has since subjected God’s chosen people to constant war and strife as many of their Muslim neighbors wish to destroy them.  However, this too has been clearly prophesied in Zechariah 12:2-3

“I will make Jerusalem and Judah like an intoxicating drink to all the nearby nations that send their armies to besiege Jerusalem. On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone, a burden for the world. None of the nations who try to lift it will escape unscathed.”

Further following Bible prophesy, in regards to the War of Gog and Magog, in the last days indicates Russia and a coalition of Muslim nations led by Iran will gather a horde of armies together in an effort to utterly destroy Israel.  This is a battle Israel will face without the help of their Allies, but they will not be alone.  They will appear defenseless against the multitude of forces that swarm down upon them but God will intervene an utterly destroy the armies mounting an assault on His chosen people as told in Ezekiel 38:14-16,

“Therefore, son of man, prophesy against Gog. Give him this message from the Sovereign Lord: When my people are living in peace in their land, then you will rouse yourself. You will come from your homeland in the distant north with your vast cavalry and your mighty army, and you will cover the land like a cloud. This will happen in the distant future. I will bring you against my land as everyone watches, and my holiness will be displayed by what happens to you. Then all the nations will know that I am the Lord.”

Jesus told his disciples the primary sign of His soon return would be the restoration of Israel in Matthew 24:32-35,

“Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its buds become tender and its leaves begin to sprout, you know without being told that summer is near. Just so, when you see the events I’ve described beginning to happen, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. I assure you, this generation will not pass from the scene before all these things take place. Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will remain forever.”

In light of these past and future events we as believers in in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior should prepare ourselves for His coming and show support and love for His chosen people.  For as Matthew 24:36-44 says,

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[a] but only the Father.  As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
